When I was hearing about all of this I didn’t think it would become as crazy as it did. I remember me telling myself that it’s nothing and that It will be controlled within a week. That sadly was not the case.

I think that the world has become more sanitized, specifically the United States. I believe that the culture here in America has changed to be safer, cleaner, and more controlled.

Safer because people and there children have learned how easy it is for things to go around. Safer because everyone has learned about how to prevent things like this from happening. Safer because another crazy pandemic has occurred and will be dealt with.

Cleaner because everyone now has more cleaning supplies then they probably have ever had in their life. Cleaner because this entire pandemic has awoken germaphobic behavior. Cleaner since most people have improved their overall cleanliness. An example would be people washing their hands much more.

Controlled because everyone feels like they have the most free time they have ever had in their life right now. They feel like they can control their schedules and activities within this confinement. Controlled because everyone is making sure their families, friends, and loved ones are staying safe and being careful. Controlled because the public has shifted gears and changed motives and ideals which allows individuals to feel like they are controlling a movement.

These points I bring up are interesting to me because I feel like the only thing I have learned is to be cleaner and safer. I feel like I have some control in my life, but since I am home I pretty much have no control. I have to do chores because what son/kind of person would I be to my parent’s If I didn’t. Most people I talk to say they feel like they have control over themselves as an individual.

America should be changing for the better due to this pandemic. Most people have changed throughout this entire event which leaves me to believe they have changed for the better. I think that America should change the way they deal with these types of incidents. The public will definitely have questions in the future to ask what would happen if anything like this where to occur again.

America should change the way hospitals, doctors, and pharmacies respond to pandemics. America should learn from this event by understanding how to better run their border control during pandemics.

Americans probably will stand further away from strangers from now on due to people have superstitions. Stereotypes will be popping left and right before you know it which will cause great damage to social structures within our society. I believe that people who are sloppy, gross, or just overall not clean will be looked at in a much different light now. They will most likely be judged even harder due to the events of this pandemic.

On the other hand I feel as if Americans will praise others who have good cleanliness. I think it will be a sought after trait when all of this non sense is over. These types of large scale events tend to change how people perceive others. I think that many people will respect, adore, and even seek others who have above average cleanliness, more than usual that is.
