In the world we live in, I’m most sure that no one knew about what was headed towards us. The coronavirus pandemic was never supposed to get this far. I believe that life is never going to be the same anymore. I thought that the virus was going to end, but it seems like it is starting to get worse and worse.

The coronavirus will change the way we live going forward as we always have to take precautions now. As in, most people are going to be more alert on where they travel, and the way they come in contact with people. As it says. “No longer are most people congregating in bars or parks, dining out, or going into the office for work.” (“10 ways, 2020”). The pandemic has a lot of us losing money. Most people can’t work, and from that people get the stimulus check, but everyone can’t rely on that forever. Most people got it, but some didn’t qualify for it. From that, people are struggling, and want to get back to work.

I even witnessed everyone going crazy in my own eyes. Recently at the capital, Harrisburg, there were many people protesting. As I witnessed it, I was thinking things are only going to get worse because many people didn’t have a mask, gloves, and were close together. That is when I knew we were going to be quarantined longer, and now the stay at home order is until May 8th now. “Mr. Trump has been unrolling at his daily press briefings — that the lockdowns will end soon, that a protective pill is almost at hand.” (“ The Coronavirus in America: The Year Ahead, 2020”). Everyone wants the world to open back up, but what happens if it doesn’t go as planned, and it gets worse?

I believe that now from the virus, us humans now know how to be more aware. Now, everyone is trying to stay cleaner, using hand sanitizer often, washing hands even when they come in the house just from taking a walk. Most people didn’t take it seriously when they started to hear about it, until they knew someone that died from it, or tested positive for coronavirus. “We know now that touching things, being with other people and breathing the air in an enclosed space can be risky.” (“Coronavirus Will Change the World Permanently. Here’s How, 2020”). People have to watch how to touch their faces, shaking hands, touching door handles, etc. People get afraid, and constantly wash their hands.

From now on, people are struggling with money. As of now, the economy isn’t doing so great right now. “the world should be prepared for the worst economic fallout since the Great Depression.” (“How life has changed since coronavirus struck”, 2020). Which is not good, because now people are applying for unemployment, and the process of that is long and slow. As businesses are closed down longer than expected, the company is losing money, and also the employers. Now, schools are closed, no prom or graduation. I think it is important for kids to experience these moments, because you only get to do that once. Everyone needs to stay in the house if they have a stay at home order, because everyone wants to move forward. Even if staying safe is in matter. – Sanae Marshall
