Today was the day I realized why Mother Nature is just like any other mom.

She is the reason we are alive but we often (accidentally) take advantage of her and all that she does for us.

Perhaps, right now we are in time out because of the years in which we have inconsiderately overlooked her critical role in our lives.

The rain is her tears because she knows we will leave her be when she is upset.

The wind is her consuming dynamic dance which reminds us she is there.

With every new season’s bloom, it feels as though she provides us with a second chance to do better.

As time goes on, no matter how much we see the way it impacts her, we continue to act selfishly.

She is getting older as the years pass and if we don’t take the time to care for her in return, surely we will feel our hearts ache for what once was.

So, before that happens, may we all take the time to stop and appreciate her every chance we get.

Notice her beauty, be thankful for her presence, breathe in her comforting aromas, and treat her with better care.
