Oh Canada,
Your’e eight hours by car, and two hours by plane.
like America, your language is the same.
But unlike the US of A.
You can buy legal weed… any day.
They say that America is the freest country of them all.
Before twenty one, I can have a legal drink in Montreal.
and because of the exchange rate,
the whole trip is can be just one cheap date.
because this beer virus decided to attack,
it may be a while before I can ever go back.
~ Paul

The loss of travel really does suck during this time. Even though we would have been in school right now otherwise, it’s still going to take time before we can do these fun trips and things we want to do. I’ve never been outside the U.S. before but I’m definitely trying to go to Canada sometime in the near future, there are just too many positive aspects, especially the ones you highlighted in your piece.

I like this one since it’s not really focused on the current virus other than the last sentence of course. It’s a nice change of pace for sure. While I have never been to Canada before it definitely is freer than the US in its ways. Like a younger brother who’s parents give independence quicker than the older siblings. Maybe we will catch up in some aspects one day. We shall have to see I guess.

I really enjoyed this poem and how you compared Canada to the US. I never really knew what was different in Canada other than the currency. My friends have taken trips there and said great things about it. I can understand why you miss it.

This poem made me want to go and drive to Canada just to say that I am not 21 but I can legally drink. Lol jk. I love this poem, this was super nice and very relieving since we mostly just talking about the virus. It is good to read something different. Great job!
