I miss the hours spent in the sunlight
I miss those who made those hours special
I miss being busy
I miss traveling by foot
I miss having fun
I am bored
I am no longer busy
I am distracted
I am lazy
I am stuck at home
I am bored
I do my homework
I study
I watch tv
I lay in bed
I am consumed by my cell phone
All because I am bored

This is a perfect representation of how this whole quarantine situation is going for myself. My phone use has skyrocketed from prior weeks and I’m not happy about it but really there isn’t a lot of stuff otherwise that I could do. You can only do so much studying and homework until you actually complete it and look for something else to do.

The photo for this poem was adorable and represented comfortable boredom to me. I relate with your poem in the sense that I miss the good and bad things about being independent. I personally really miss being at college away from my parents It’s hard to think on my own being back inside this house.

I really enjoyed your piece, and how “ I am bored” was always stated after the tasks you have been doing. It was different and reassuring, because I am also bored. I hope you find something that can amuse you during these times. Have a good weekend

I like the picture you used for this poem, it looks very relaxing. I also like the way you structured the poem, it is very well written. I also miss outside, we really are becoming lazy and boring. Hopefully this is over soon. I wish you the best of luck!

Yo Hugo, hang in there buddy! As of today, there seems to have been somewhat of a decline in US cases, things will slowly get back to normal. This poem is concerning, as it implies you are using your cell phone as an escape. Phones are fun, but like our professor says, we spend too much time on them, and there is more to life than them. Maybe go for a walk or something.

I think everyone can definitely relate to this piece. The short walks I take everyday have really been keeping me sane. Other then that I’m bored too. Looking at a screen everyday is starting to get to me.
