Since we were in quarantine, I finally was actually happy to just go outside, and look around for this assignment. As I was walking around, I found a flower that caught my attention. All of the houses had flowers, but this one meant something to me

At first, I was like what flower is this? I only picked it because it was nice, bright, and of course I love the color yellow. Then as I was researching the flower, I found out it was a Daffodil. It surprised me because as many times as I saw it, I never knew the name of it. As I found out, I learned that it had a meaning behind it. A Daffodil symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings. The situation that we are in now, really surprised me because now I hope that we can have a new beginning soon as this virus is over.

The yellow is what brings the flower to life. It brightens up outside, and even brightens up the mood I was in. I also learned that the Latin term for daffodil is Narcissus, is named after the son of the river God. But the color of these, represent joy and happiness. To me, that was a good thing, because now everytime I see one, I can just smile because it has so many meanings behind it.

I remember a time when my great grandmother used to have these outside in her garden, but never knew why. Until now, having daffodils can mean hope to a cancer free future. People that have these are lucky, and hope for the best things.
