2:24 am
I woke up to your arm adjusting to the creases in my hip as I laid on my side
Your eyes were still closed when you kissed the back of my neck
I remember how it felt
How you felt
3:34 am
I woke up in an empty bed
I could hear the volume of the tv decreasing as you heard my shuffle
My eyes were blurred when I saw you there
Just sitting
I remember you told me you couldn’t sleep
Too tired to think anything of it
I went back to sleep
4:16 am
I woke up to your scent
It lingered in the room without you
I wondered, where are you?
7:33am
I woke up to a dream, about you
She whispered softly in my ear
She told me to watch out for you
8:45 am
I woke up without you
My body ached
I looked at the discoloring of my skin
From the last time we touched
I remember how it felt
To be hurt by you

This was absolutely amazing; the structure, the intensity, all of it. I don’t want to ruin it by saying too much but I hope you know that your writing is always so spectacular and I really look up to you for that. Your subject matter is also always about incredibly important things and to be so vulnerable is something I really admire about you. This poem was very moving.
