Dear Mr. Sawyer,

How are you? Its been a really long time since we last talked. Lately, I have been reminiscing about high school and how many memories I made in the multiple classes of yours. I’m sure I annoyed you with my countless questions whenever we had a hard program in your intro class, but I just want to say thank you for all the morning review sessions and support you gave me through those 4 years. The effort and care you showed in class really made it that much more enjoyable. With your help, I found my passion for technology and this has made picking my major at Temple super easy. I also have your countless note packets all the way from freshman year that still help me to this day.

I remember you always greeting me in the hallway even though I wasn’t in your class that year. I’m still amazed you remember almost everyone’s name even if they were in your class for one semester, like when we had that huge Smash Bros tournament during study hall and you named everyone in the room.

I just want to say that you were one of the most influential and coolest teachers I’ve ever had. I heard your plans for retiring from teaching soon, and It makes me feel extremely grateful that I had someone like you to guide me through many tough challenges. Hopefully, I can meet you one last time before you leave the highschool.

Thanks for everything ~ Nelson Ngov
