Dear Mrs. Faylor,

I know that I have not checked in since I have graduated, but I just wanted to see how everything is going. You were the only teacher that I had for my all my 4 years in high school and I appreciate every year we spent together. I think back to your class and how much it has benefitted me in college. You prepared me for my future instead of just teaching me basic education. The many presentations and papers you made me do have been more helpful than I initially thought. I may have dreaded your assignments then, but they have helped me tremendously now.

I will always remember your class as a comfortable environment that was a break from the rest of the school. I looked forward to going to your class because I knew it was my chance to relax. I know that I may have annoyed you a lot with all my talking and arguing with you; definitely my senior year. I think that is because you were the only teacher at school that I truly felt comfortable with, and I may have taken advantage of that.

I apologize for all my disruptions, and even though it may not have seemed like it—I am thankful that I had you as a teacher. I know that you wanted the best for everyone in the class and wanted us to succeed in our lives. Your countless checking in on my grades and forcing me to try harder has brought me to where I am now. I would have never made it through high school without your assistance. You did a great job as a teacher for me and I just wanted to remind you of that.

Thank You, Madison
