Hey Kov,

How are you doing? Still got developer all over your hands? Well, anyway, I just wanted to say thanks. You were probably the most encouraging and helpful teacher/friend I’ve had. Between the banter and jokes you really drove me to unlock my creativity. Whether you were getting excited with us about our ideas for the light bar photos, or ranting on and on about all the possibilities of photo-grams, you never failed to engage us. Whenever you questioned a decision I made with a photo’s composition or lighting, you would offer me suggestions that made me approach the project in a different way. You pushed me to think outside of the box. To go against my preconceived ideas about what a good photo looks like. Whether it’s breaking the rule of thirds, or just doing things I wouldn’t have originally thought of. I learned that you don’t have to be born creative to become creative. I’ve tried to apply what you have taught me to not only my photography and film-making, but to all aspects of my life. I will always miss having you jokingly yell as we blindly rolled film, rummaging through the prop bins, and banging out to some classic rock or hip hop in the dark room.

Thank you for everything Kov.
