Dear Mr. Heidt,

I hope this letter finds you in some form, some day. I’ve always thought about writing you something but didn’t know what I would say or if you would care, why would you want to hear from one of your worst performing students? Now, I am in a place where I genuinely believe that you might have some interest hearing from me, and where I genuinely want to reach out to you.

I’m currently in my second year studying psychology and neuroscience at Temple University. You played an important role in my personal development that led to me being here. Without you, I don’t know if I would have been exposed to the ideas that resonated with me and unlocked steps in my personal development. Not only that, but you served as an incredible role model to me. Your passion for education, improvement, better thinking, design, have all found themselves somewhere within me. Ghenglish is my favorite class I have ever taken. I know that you have a very special place in the hearts and minds of a lot of us that were given the opportunity to be in those first couple years of classes.

I hope that you have been well. I hope you have continued pushing boundaries and creating an amazing learning environment for students. Maybe we can get lunch or work together on a giant world changing project some day, I would enjoy both.

Best,

Fisher Rhubright
