Dear Mr. Herd,

I want to start this letter off with saying Thank You to you for being a teacher. I had you twice in Highschool and I wish I could’ve had you twice more. I had never had a teacher like you, and I don’t think I ever will. Some days were unbearable to me in school, but your class always had a way of cheering me up. When I had you for American History, I had never done so well in a History class before, and that is thank to you and the way you taught. I also had never really enjoyed a history class. The whole classroom felt like a safe space to retain information and share it. I will never forget all the memories created in your classroom. You were one of the funniest and kindest teachers and I’m so glad you are a teacher. You also had my brother twice and he loved you also and so do so many other students you have had. I remember talking to many people about your class and how much we enjoyed it. You are very much appreciated by me and so many others, keep teaching.

Thank you,

Taylor Holmwood
