Dear Mr. Freeburn,
I haven’t talked to you since I graduated high school, but I just wanted to tell you that I am doing great. When I first met you my junior year, I knew that I was going to hate chemistry. But, you made me realize that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. That is why I was so appreciative to have you in highschool. I told you that I went to Temple University, but I couldn’t have done it without you by my side always saying, “Make sure you finish your applications for college.” Us being so close made me better myself as an individual. You were like the second dad to me, a school dad. I could talk to you about anything and was always comfortable about sharing personal things. It was funny how I had you my senior year also, and we got even closer. I hated how we both knew that our time together was coming to an end closer to the end of the school year. Then, June 5th came which was graduation. I remember you sitting directly by me from where I was seated. When I walked the stage you had the biggest smile on your face. Everytime I come home for breaks, I say I am going to come visit, I just never have the time but I promise I will. I hope you are enjoying the new year, and wish nothing but the best for you!
Sincerely,
Sanae Marshall
