Above we see a church in complete disrepair juxtaposed with a citizens bank directly across the street. This picture was taken on Broad street not too far from Temple’s main campus. It is concerning to see a bank stand well kept, where a church (an important community center) is left decrepit. Below we see a block of store fronts on Broad street that are completely vacant and boarded up. This illustrates the state of businesses in north Philly as one gets further from center city or Temple main campus.
