She was born without sight. Just like every other human on Earth. The buildings were simple, the landscape was plain, and nobody gave a thought to outward appearances. In this time, people had adapted to this new life without their vision. Their other senses were heightened. This allowed for new possibilities. Bad odors were highly frowned upon. Textures were important to the function of everyday life, and loud noises were highly frowned upon. 

One benefit that came along with the given incapability was; Peace. No war, no violence.

Nothing. Everybody was kind. There was no judgement. Everybody was accepting of each other. Pure peace. 

Little did the people know, their world was about to change. Someone had come out of hiding. He had been living in seclusion away from the hustle and bustle of the busy world. 

He had sight.

The news outlets went crazy. He painted their thoughts with what their world looked like. 

He described rainbows, the beauty of flowers, and continued on. Until.. he was asked about what the people looked like. “Humans vary in color,” he simply stated. This caused outrage and extreme curiosity. People were shelling out thousands and thousands of dollars to know the color they were assigned to be. There was severe unrest. 

What came along with this newest discovery was a new hierarchy. What was a judgement free world, became one that was focused on appearance and color. Violence emerged. 

The world was overcome with a hatred that had never been seen before. This man had become the leader of the world. He moved people into locations where their color was shared.If someone was in the wrong location, they were kicked out and thrown into prisons. 

It was truly devastating how something so insignificant caused disturbance to the order of society. Once they found out there were differences between each other, they turned against each other. 

Hatred, judgment and profiling are things that are taught. No one is born with the ability to hate.
