We wanted to look into the different food options commuters and students who dorm have on campus, regarding whether who has the healthier benefit. We interviewed 5 mutual friends. Our question was “Do you think Temple has healthy food options available to you.”
Our first interview was with our friend Don. Don takes the train early in the morning and stays on campus until the evening, When interviewed, Don said “I don’t eat at on campus places because it’s either fast food or a food truck, so I bring my own meal. Plus, I don’t really wanna spend money.” The second interview was another commuter, Kenny. Kenny does not stay too long on campus, he stays for 3 hours at most daily and most of his classes are in the afternoon. Kenny says “I usually grab something quick at a pizza shop or chick fil a, they’re good food options but they’re not healthy. I think Temple could definitely better their on campus food spots with something quick and healthy.” The last commuter we interviewed was Tyler. Tyler’s schedule varies throughout the week so he simply said “I usually just get chick fil a, probably not the healthiest but it’s good”.
For our last interviews we interviewed two friends who live on campus. I interviewed my roommate Steven. We usually go to the dining hall around 2-4 everyday. Steven said “Morgan’s dining hall definitely has some healthier options then what you see around campus. It has actual meals” Lastly, we interviewed David. David said “I usually eat whatever I’m feeling that day but if I wanna get a good meal after the gym I’d go to the dining hall.”
From our interviewees, we could conclude that Temple can improve on healthier food choices on campus.
