Will: Maddy
Maddy on the surface seems simple and friendly, but after spending time with her you’ll realize she’s decisive, and clear about her opinions. The stigma that prevents many of us from discussing certain topics doesn’t stop her. She quickly puts-herself out there and isn’t afraid to bring up difficult subjects.
Now that you see her, you’ll probably recognize her at the next party you go to. She likes to go out and have a good time when she’s done her psychology homework.
Her future plans involve becoming a therapist, and that choice suits her well – Maddy’s a good listener and keeps the conversation flowing.
With the experience of living in different areas around NJ and PA, she’ll be quick to adjust to wherever her future counseling job may be.
To describe her in one word, I would choose ‘frank’.
Arron for Will:
Hailing from Lower Moreland, PA, not to be confused with Lower Merion or anything of the sort, it’s Will! I am really glad we did this exercise since I got to know him, as I may not have otherwise. He is a first year student majoring in Mathematics, a major that is not super common, but as I talked to him I could see the connection. Will seems to think very logic or math based way when approaching things. He has a responsible head on his shoulders and makes decisions for well justified reasons. He was quite a good listener as well. He would hear out what you had to say and bring up relevant questions that make you feel as though he is truly getting what you are saying. He would make what you said feel important as he would never force focus away from you just to get in what he wanted to say. While our first conversation wasn’t the most natural, we were fairly quick to connect and open up to one another in a natural way, especially by our second meeting at a coffee shop. Will is easy to speak to, he is very calm, reserved, and understanding. I really enjoyed our time together and the conversations and stories we shared in our trio.
Maddie: Arron
I was in a group with Will and Aaron, and in order to get to know each other we decided to go to Saxby’s and grab coffee. Even though it was absolutely freezing, we decided to sit outside. I learned a lot about both of them, but I also learned something about myself; I talk way too much.
Since we were a group of three, I’m going to be writing about Aaron. The very first thing I learned about him was that it is his first year at Temple as a film major and he seems to really be enjoying it so far. We are both from New Jersey so we discussed what it was like there. I also thought it was interesting that we come from similar religious backgrounds. Over coffee, we discussed a variety of incredibly random topics, ranging from favorite board games, to where the best spots on campus are. We got in a little debate about the best pizza on campus. Maxi’s versus Philly Style. Besides what we discussed, I noticed that Aaron is great at holding a conversation and showed that he was interested in being there. I am usually very shy and not very outgoing but with Aaron, and Will, I felt comfortable sharing my thoughts and ideas. It was very nice to get to know them!
